September Macro Update - Valkyrie

Valkyrie's Chief Investment Officer Steven McClurg offers a September macro overview, including updates on Inflation and China.

McClurg discusses China's bitcoin ban this year, as well as how Evergrande, a Chinese company, has defaulted on its bonds.

He shares that several fund managers in the United States have been buying Evergrande bonds, hoping to get a little bit of an additional yield on their portfolios, although it seems like that didn’t work out too well for them.

Speaking of bond yields, McClurg explains that US treasuries are yielding 1.5%. Inflation is at 5.5% percent. That means the real yield on 10 year treasuries is -4%.

McClurg would suggest buying Bitcoin.
